RENAC said the FOP for South Africa (SA) was in the process, they have been assigned airline codes by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

“The assigned IATA 2 letter code is RN while the IATA 3 digit accounting prefix is 507,” mentioned RENAC in a statement.

Approval

The corporation said since the approval of our air operator certificate (AOC), several preparatory and post-AOC actions were initiated. They attested to have made tremendous progress in securing identification when operating international flights. RENAC said these codes were used for facilitating communication between the airline and air navigation services providers or airspace management agencies. “Following that, we applied for landing and departure slots at OR Tambo International, King Shaka International, Cape Town International Airports in SA and at Robert Gabriel Mugabe (Harare) International Airport in Zimbabwe.

“Don’t take too much advice. Most people who have a lot of advice to give — with a few exceptions — generalise whatever they did. Don’t over-analyse everything. I myself have been guilty of over-thinking problems. Just build things and find out if they work.” — Ben Silbermann

Tcan’t set a definite date for our maiden flight as the turnaround time for the outstanding process is dependent on various factors beyond our control.

We, however, envisage taking to the skies at the beginning of the next IATA season, which is 26 March 2023,” added RENAC.

Due to the work that still needs to happen in the background, to ensure they operate at optimum best, RENAC said they have seen it fit to break their launch into three phases.

They envisage starting with one destination and the two others will be added after an interim period of less than one month, with phase Ill whereby we add the fourth destination being the final stage.

RENAC said the exact dates for each phase and sequence of destinations will be announced as soon as the outstanding processes have been finalised.
