‘Bull’, ‘Weslians’ for Mavuso, ‘Birds’ at POW

- BY ASHMOND NZIMA Tomorrow KaLanga Technical Centre:

MBABANE – Fans will have a dose of pulsating fixtures when they return to Mavuso Sports Centre this coming weekend.

The venue was closed for the past two weeks due to technical reasons that include faulty electrical cables.

According to a fixture released by Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Football Manager Pat Vilakati, the venue would be home to double-header featuring two of the two country’s ‘big guns’ on Sunday.

Denver Sundowns will be home to stuttering neighbours Manzini Wanderers at 1pm. The fixture will be a curtain-raiser for a potential humdinger between Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopard at 3:30pm.

The former will be in chase of a rare double following a surprise 3-2 win in the reverse fixture over a month ago.

Action will start from tomorrow when log leaders Green Mamba look to stretch their lead to seven points when they host

Tambuti at KaLanga Technical Centre in Siteki, starting at 3pm.

Games will be played from tomorrow until Sunday, with the rescheduled fixture between Young Buffaloes and Nsingizini taking place at KaLanga next Wednesday.

The game was abandoned after 26 minutes due to a heavy downpour in Mhlume this past Sunday. It will be started afresh as per the league rules.

Complaints

Mbabane Swallows, on the other hand, will be back hosting at Prince of Wales Sports Ground following their repeated complaints on being denied a chance to play closer to home. They face Madlenya at 1:30pm before table-proppers Seven Dreams host second-placed Young Buffaloes two hours later.

In the National First Division, those in northern Hhohho will be treated to a mouth-watering double-header. Malanti host Ubombo Flyers, while log leaders Rangers visit Kappa Kappa at Killarney Sports Ground in Pigg’s Peak on Saturday.
