MBABANE – On-form log leaders Green Mamba will be out to cement the top spot when they welcome Tambuti FC at KaLanga Technical Centre for round 17 of the MTN Premier League this afternoon.
The Correctional Services side are unbeaten in all eight matches since their 2-1 defeat to Denver Sundowns in what was Coach Gcina Dlamini’s first game for Sundowns. Ernest Mavuso’s troops have since then went on to win seven consecutive MTN Premier League matches, scoring 20 goals and only just conceding four goals.
Last week they continued their impressive form in the league where they defeated a struggling Manzini Wanderers side 1-0 at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground. Inyoka Eluhlazane, as Green Mamba are fondly known, are four points clear of closest challengers Young Buffaloes.
However, the latter have a game in hand against Nsingizini Hotspurs. A win for Green Mamba today will see them stretching their lead to seven points, with Buffaloes having a game tomorrow at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground against Mahlanya based-side, Seven Dreams.
