SIDVOKODVO – SRFA Chairperson Bhekani Khumalo has reminded teams to ‘take control’ of their stakeholders through undivided support.

In reaction to the support from Galp Tri-Cash and Galp Tobacco that pumped in E160 000 for Shiselweni Regional Football Association (SRFA), Khumalo challenged the teams to ensure they monopolised stakeholders like the filling station and supported them in full.

“There is a need to maximise on the use of Galp products and influence the business community to also come on board. The teams that will get the prizes will carry the Galp brand everywhere they go, so the need to protect cannot be overstated,” he said.

Meanwhile, Galp Tri-Cash, through Director Bongani Hlophe assured that there were more draws coming up, with the next one expected at the end of the month. Teams that filled up at Galp Tri-Cash and Galp Tobacco, completed entry forms, identifying themselves automatically qualified for the open draw.

SIDVOKODVO – It seems Galp Tri-Cash Filling Station’s partnership with Shiselweni teams is a match made in heaven.

In less than four months, after pumping in over E120 000 for five zones in Shiselweni that include Sigcineni, Bhahwini, KaPhunga, Nkwene and Nhlangano Promotion League, the filling station spoilt the teams further yesterday to take the total funding to date, to E160 000.

At Nkonyeni Golf Estate, Galp Tri-Cash announced more rewards for the teams after they were presented with prizes that included soccer jerseys, soccer boots and shin guards.

These prizes were awarded to teams that embraced a promotion that was announced during the sponsorship launch. All the teams needed to do was to fill up at Galp Tri-Cash or Galp Tobacco in Nhlangano to be entered into a draw.

A team styled Ingolozi FC from Sigcineni were the biggest winners, after walking away with the Galp branded soccer jersey. Runners-up in the competition were Nyanyali Celtics, while a side styled XI Experience was third. They got soccer boots and shin guards, in that order.

Announcing the incentives, the filling station’s Director Bongani Hlophe lauded the teams for fully embracing the promotion, saying it was one way the company was giving back to the community.

“We appreciate the partnership and through it we now have new customers,” he shared.

Also part of yesterday’s festivities was Shiselweni Regional Football l Association (SRFA) Chairperson Bhekani Khumalo, who could not hide his excitement, saying he thought it was a distant dream when he first heard about the initiative.

On behalf the teams, Bongani Dlamini stressed that the support would go a long way in lessening their burden, saying they needed to support the sponsor in appreciation of the kind gesture.
