Prophet offers ‘prayer’ to win elections
MBABANE – The Temple of Favour International Ministries leader offers prayers to those who want to win the upcoming national elections.
The prayers cost E1 000 per person for the prophet to consult the spirit for potential candidates.
The church is based in Nhlangano and has its headquarters in the Edo State in Nigeria. The church leader, known as Prince Prophet Prosper AKA the Lion Himself is a Nigerian national.
The story comes at the backdrop of His Majesty King Mswati III’s plea with the nation to avoid foul play during the elections. This is not to suggest that there is any foul play in the prophet’s prayers, but the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has warned against paying people to win elections.
FALSE PROMISES
“We must caution against the use of foul play, bribery and false promises to gain a seat in Parliament. This can only be aimed at achieving selfish ambitions at the expense of our national development. We wish the election process all the success it deserves,” said the King.
Eswatini has been a fertile ground for prophecies and a wide range of prophets have spoken about different issues ranging from the political unrest to natural disasters. Prophecies on the elections have not been prevalent in the country, yet in other countries such as the United States of America (USA), prophets shared their spiritual visions on the elections which was subsequently won by incumbent President Joe Biden.
It is worth mentioning that prophecies have no guarantee that they will come to pass, as it was the case on those who prophesied that former president Donald Trump would win ahead of President Biden.
Prince Prophet Prosper has been running a countrywide campaign promoting his one-on-one prayer session where, among other things, he prays for people who want to win the national elections.
He clarified that he does not cause people to win, but he assisted them to get spiritual divination on whether they would win or lose the election. He said after conducting the spiritual consultation, he then does according to God’s instruction on whether the person needs a cleansing prayer or not.
NATIONAL ELECTIONS
“There is nothing wrong in entering for national elections but there is everything wrong in entering without proper knowledge of whether God has ordained you to win or not. We help people find out whether they were meant to win the election or not. In cases where we find that some were spiritually closed, we then pray for their release from the bondage and set them free to go and win. It is painful to see people wasting money on campaigns which they will eventually lose because they are not spiritually cleared to win the elections,” said the prophet.
He stated that he valued the Kingdom of Eswatini and was excited to help emaSwati to reach their spiritual potential as ordained by God. He said the country had a lot of potential for growth and needed godly politicians who were ordained and chosen by God to assist the King in leading the country.
The prophet said he was a private person and, therefore, was committed to ensuring that his clients were comfortable to attend. He said his sanctuary was private and safe for everyone.
“I want to assure the people that there is nothing funny that we do and there are no sacrifices at all except for the E1 000 you pay for the prophet to consult in the spiritual realm for you. It is important to know if God has approved your campaign for the position or not, so I think this is very important for everyone,” he said.
The prophet further said he preferred to be referred as a spiritual prophet since he specialises on fighting spiritual wars and releasing people from bondages.
His Personal Assistant in the country, Nontobeko Mndzebele said the Nigerian prophet was a perfectionist who believed in confidentiality, therefore, his consultations happened at his sanctuary.

“He is a prophet who believes in confidentiality, if you want to a meeting with him, you must first make an appointment with me then
I will slot you in at the appropriate time. He is a prophet who respects ones privacy and is a very busy prophet to be precise. He is a prophet who respects tradition and he comes from a royal family,” said Mndzebele.
Doctor Prince Prophet Prosper holds a Doctorate Degree in Divinity from
Triumphant Christian University of America. He is a prince from Imo State Nigeria. He is the founder and general overseer of Temple of Favour International Ministries. He also founded Prosper Children’s Foundation, which operates in Nigeria and Eswatini.
The prophet has also made a name for himself as one who specialise on retaliation prayer (back to sender), praying against witchcraft and delayed marriages. He also prays for those who want to win court cases.
The Cambridge Dictionary defines a prophecy as a statement that says what is going to happen in the future, especially one that is based on what you believe about a particular matter rather than existing facts.
