Coachella endorses Uncle Waffles

MBABANE – Uncle Waffles was celebrated by through their Instagram page with a post celebratin­g Women’s Day, yesterday.

Born Lungelihle Zwane, Uncle Waffles continues to raise the bar as she is set to grace Coachella at the Empire Polo Club with an Amapiano set. Before securing this gig, this most celebrated DJ ended the year 2022, on a high note by partnering with ‘Always’, which is an American brand of menstrual hygiene products, maxi pads. According to ‘Buzzsoutha­frica’ Uncle Waffles is now worth over R6 million, following her massive success in the year 2022.

The Coachella Instagram page post is arguably a build up to the event that is scheduled for next month. The Coachella Valley Music and

Arts Festival commonly (@eskae_amigo Tunecore Africa @tunecore.africa). referred to Coachella Festival, is an annual music and arts festival, usually held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, in Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert.

This will be a weekend event starting from Friday April 14 to 16. It will also be held the following weekend for another three days, from April 21 to 23.

The event features artists from many genres in music which includes; Rock, Pop, Indie, Hip Hop and Electronic dance music, as well as art installati­ons and sculptures. The festival further showcases popular and establishe­d musical artists, as well as emerging artists. It is one of the largest, most famous, and most profitable music festivals in the USA and globally. One of the biggest highlights of the event was seen in the year 2015, where 250 000 people attended and grossed over US$114.6 million which is equivalent to E1 333 255 976 when converted to the local currencies.
