We have a plan for Felix - Wanderers

-

Wanderers Coach Mpendulo Mawelela said they knew that Badenhorst was deadly in front of goal.

“We are aware of Felix and a plan has been made to contain him. Coming to our preparations, I must say that they went well. We respect Swallows, but we are not afraid of them,” Mawelela said.

He also said the departure of Coach Terisayi Changara would not affect them, much as they would stick to the same philosophy he had instilled after months of work with the players.

Smooth

Meanwhile, Umkhonto KaShaka as Swallows are also fondly known, has had their Head Coach Caleb Ngwenya highlighting smooth preparations for the tie as he had a full squad but one suspension of striker Sandile Hlatjwako.

“We have shifted our focus from last week’s game and our focus is on the match against Wanderers, which is going to be a tough one and also unpredictable,” the former Green Mamba mentor said.

When asked if he had any challenges selecting his best XI for games given the stars in the team, Ngwenya politely admitted; “It gives me an interesting headache.”

WHAT THE CAPTAINS HAD TO SAY:

Mlamuli ‘Mlaba’ Nkambule

(M. Wanderers)

“We are highly motivated ahead of this game and the spirit among the boys is high. We were unfortunate to lose with a big score last week. So, we are ready to face Swallows and this is a must-win for us. We are not worried about their form as we want to win this match on Sunday. As the coach has said we have a plan in place for Felix.”

Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze

(M. Swallows)

“This is going to be a tough match, but we are hoping for the three points as the spirit in camp is very high. Our coaches motivate us a lot and that is why we believe that we can still win the league as Swallows are a result orientated club.”
