Unquenched fires

-

($/ fires from the depth of our souls can never be quenched. Those kinds of fires helps us breath and those kinds of fires endure our insanities. Our society is left with a thread of moral fabric. Sometimes it feels like we are walking on thin ice. And death is always ever near, smiling at every corner, roaming around as if owning every inch of our lives. Which fire can sustain us, and weather our ability to swim through the rocky waters and survive unwavering storms. There is always something that makes us want to live, desire to become better, and to emerge stronger than before. The zeal for something that is beyond us cannot be silenced. That thing is a fire that cannot be quenched.

There is absolutely nothing on earth that can compare to fires that are ignited in the depth of our souls. Ignited to save us from ourselves. Those fires can be kindled by anything but mostly a product of self-discovery through adversities or following a path that isn’t caved out for us. The desire to function in a position that was designated for you can seem like someone is losing their mind. Yet real fires can consume one to the foundation of their being.

May be it can be likened to a people who conforms to something that doesn’t resonate with them. A fire is ignited as they seek to find that which describes their true identity. A strong desire to be yourself and function as yourself as you were created to function is a fire that cannot be silenced.

There is an ever loud cracker of uncertainty for who and what peoples devotions are given to. Whatever a person devotion is, it upholds their sanity. Maybe we are only silenced when we have seized to exist and our hearts have failed but as long as we are still breathing, the earth groans for

our purpose to manifest. I watched a huge tree whose stump was burning. It burned for hours on its own. The fire seemed to penetrate directly to its core slowly eroding it inch by inch, it burned for days. It had to burn to the depth of its roots because a fire that consumes must consume everything to its core. Whenever we are devoted to something the fire that burns for it, must consume every desire in our heart aligning it with the one who planted it.

Anything new is produced in adversity. In a moulding, and a making.

FIRE

People who live by a fire inside their souls, a conviction and a reasoning that is beyond calamities always survive and share their light with others. People whose light is unquenchable? A very precious and special kind. Who find that their lives are more than just waking up and going to be, but a people who burn from their core about their conviction are unstoppable?

In the book a $FWV the Apostles caught a fire and they burned with it from the core of their being. Consequently they preached, the name of Jesus to people whose inclinations were still for themselves. They were beaten for it, scowled and sometimes thrown

into jail. One of those days a man called Gamaliel, cautioned the crowd, and all those who wanted to persecute them for preaching in the name of Jesus. He told them they should be careful that whatever it is they planned to do with the men for preaching, they were not seen to be fighting against God. He advised them to leave them be, and let them go.

For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.

But if it is from God, they will not be able to stop these men, they will only find themselves fighting against God because if what they were doing was not of God, it would seize to exist for according to Gamaliel, they had been those who came and claimed to be somebodies and their work seize and they perished.

Even though Gamaliel himself was a Pharisee, he seemed to understand that a fire from God cannot be quenched. Instead if you fight it, it will be like you’re fighting against God. I know that no one really want or enjoys adversity, sometimes it is brought to our table, sometimes by our own decisions. Yet the fire from within propels us to persevere, and as we move forward, we become individuals that are born from the fire. Unstoppable. This is

difficult, because the fire that sustains us is not something we were taught, consequently it’s not a process that can be taught but one that is chosen.

Have you ever seen a drunk man preach? They lose themselves in it. For some reason it comes out, their core speaks, yearning to be fully embraced. It makes me wonder though, how many people in their adversities realise that the fire inside of them could be leading them to a different direction. That peace will be found in the surrender. That direction for their lives is engraved in their conviction.

We sometimes search for answers and solutions that are engraved in the depth of our souls.

Essentially everything that is rooted in purpose will not fade. I sort of understand that with time we get to see what was happening and every reason for it is then revealed. However, when we are in the process of unfolding and detaching layers of unbelief, insecurity, dishonesty, ect.The fires will not seize to burn and every year the yearning to become fully what we created to be burns even stronger. It seems like until we lose our lust of the flesh, our lust of the eyes and the pride of life, we don’t come out of the wilderness.
