A celebration of

- BY NOMBUSO DLAMINI BY NOMBUSO DLAMINI

HELLO! This has been one of my toughest weeks, even in my personal life, but I came out on top. In the industry this week we learnt of a lot if migrations of local artists in search of greener pastures on foreign soil. There are quite a few people’s relocations that will shock you but make sure you buy the daily newspaper and keep yourself informed.

I also just realised that in a few months, I’ll have to verify though, I’ll be celebrating a year doing Style.

So what does it take for a media brand or individual to celebrate a year of existence? Well, a lot of hard work, amazing team, graceful leadership, care and a lot of true love from our readers.

Coming on board, I knew that I needed to target certain topics focusing on Black women’s beauty, fashion, health, food, families and just life. Style is also one of the most researched mini magazines in the kingdom and it is in most homes. And now, through our online offerings, our content is consumed all over the world.

The role of media in beauty is unmatched. The industry has been on the right and wrong side of history, but as the media has become more diverse, so have the faces and beauties behind the stories we tell and those we will continue telling.

It’s women’s month and what better way to celebrate than with leading ladies in the entertainment industry and Floewe makes our cover this week. Every year on March 8, International Women’s Day is celebrated to commemorate and honour women’s accomplishments, raise awareness about gender disparities and discrimination, as well as promote global support for women. I personally love women’s month, I celebrate its cause more than your Valentine’s Day and Christmas, I am for the celebration of women because they just do so much.

This whole edition will focus on women winning and doing the most locally and even abroad. I hope you have adopted our culture of reading. So even this week, just like in the previous weeks, you’ll find a very informative and interesting set of books brought to you by Mlondzi Nkambule. “A strong woman knows she has strength enough for the journey, but a woman of strength knows it is in the journey where she will become strong.”

I hope you enjoy this edition as much as we enjoyed preparing it. we celebrated nternational omenǯs Day on tracked dowednntehsedtayl, ewnteed songstress loewe to share with us what this month means to her and how she celebrated it. e also spoke about her upcoming music and other epxproerŒeiecntcse. initthhehinedrursitcryh, young and upcoming artists can surely learn a lot from the songwriters rich history, what has kinedput shteryr mbuaskyining htheer achieve all these years and still bag big
