JOHANNESBURG - Congratulations are in order for media personality and radio jog Anele Mdoda, who recently announced that she has been appointed as 1st for Women’s Ambassador of Fearless.

“Partnering with a company that is focused on spreading the message of fearlessness to South African women makes absolute sense. Being fearless doesn’t mean living a life devoid of fear, but living a life in which our fears don’t hold us back. It’s about acting despite the fear and walking with freedom, strength and hope in the face of things unknown.

“South Africa is one of the most dangerous countries in the world to be a woman so it’s not about having nothing to fear but rather, knowing that we have the power to change our narrative from one of fear to one of fearlessness,” explained Mdoda.

For Mdoda, harnessing the power of fearlessness is an exercise in growth, resilience, and persistence.

“The three things I do fearlessly are motherhood, my career, and love. By removing the barriers to fearlessness - the fear of failure, the need to be perfect, not feeling good enough, the risk of judgment, overthinking things or feeling like I wouldn’t be strong enough to cope if things didn’t go my way – I can embrace optimism and confidence, and power through with true intention and purpose, motivated by something that’s more important than unrealistic expectations,” said Mdoda.

Seugnette van Wyngaard, Head of 1st for Women said: “Anele is an icon of courage and unapologetic confidence. We are so excited to work with her on spreading the message of fearlessness to South African women.”
