—Anonymous MBABANE – Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has partnered with local choral as means of transmitti­ng their messages through music for this year’s elections.

7his \ear¶s elections are governed b\ the 6logan ‘Ngete Ngasala Nasakha Live’, which is a statement that maNes emphasis in enhancing a democratic government s\stem. ,t¶s worth men tioning that this is the first time the (%& partners with a local music genre in (swatini mainl\ choral.

7his partnershi­p worNs well when a certain organisati­on wishes to transmit their messages to a large audience through the use of music. $ similar case where an organisati­on partnered with music e[perts to get across a mes sage to a large audience is the 8nion of (uropean )ootball $ssociation­s 8()$ &hampions /eague.

³7he tasN before us as a commission is ver\ huge therefore we cannot do it on our own so this \ear we looNed to engage different partners to sup port us so that at the end of the da\ we achieve our goal. :e decided to partner with the choral organisati­on because we want them to help us send the message through music. 7he\ are ver\ good with music the\ are the people we were looNing for all along because the\ are interested and the\ love music. 4uite a number of people enMo\ choral music the countr\ is one of the best under 6outher $frican 'evelopment &ommunit\ 6$'& countries when it comes to choral music hence we want to conve\ the music in whatever form thus we engaged 1tMilo 1tMilo ´ 7embe said.

He further went on to disclose that the\ gave the choral group the theme of the elections and the\ creativel\ produced the informativ­e song. ³:hat we did is that we gave them the theme and ever\thing was done b\ them.

7he choral team was conducted b\ veteran chorister 0athoNoza 6ibi\a during the (%& breaNfast meeting. 7he elections song is currentl\ worN ing in line with (%&¶s obMective of advocating man\ ema6wati to partic ipate in this \ear¶s elections through registerin­g as the song is being pla\ed on the national radio station which is (swatini %roadcastin­g and ,nforma tion 6ervices (%,6 .
