MBABANE – He is in no rush to find a new team.
That is former Manzini Wanderers Gaffer Changara Terisayi, who was relieved off his duties as the faltering hub giant’s leader two weeks ago. The team, through their Management Committee (MC) Chairman Berger Nxumalo, revealed that Terisayi was not fired, but they released him as they were protecting him from some people after he was made the scapegoat for poor results.
His co-coach Mpendulo Mawelela was assigned as the interim Head Coach and his first game was against Mbabane Swallows, which he lost 0-4 at Mavuso Sports Centre last Sunday. The coach, when contacted about his next move in his career said after his departure from liWeseli, he was currently relaxing as he was not rushing to find a team. Changara said for now he was taking a break from football activities as he pondered on his next move probably next season.
“I don’t have offers for now as I’m hoping that I will find a team to work with at the start of next season,” the former Mbabane Citizens mentor said.
The maroon and white hub giants under the stewardship of the Zimbabwean gaffer managed to accumulate 14 points in 18 outings as he won four, drew two and lost the other 12. The team are currently sitting perilously on position 13 on the MTN Premier League table. Wanderers have reconciled with former Coach Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe, who re-joins the team from MTN National First Division (NFD) side Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows.
