MANZINI - Impeccable service delivery, cleanliness and security.

These were the words used by South African Bongiwe Mbatha in a circulating TikTok video when describing her experience during a visit to Manzini last week.

Mbatha was in the kingdom for personal reasons. In the trending video, she is seen commending how the hub of the country is clean.

Meanwhile, Mbatha also appreciated a lady from the Immigration Office for recognising her and asking about her daughter. She also commended the meticulous service she received from an MTN service centre in Manzini near Bradlows when buying SIM cards.

The South African mentioned that she was used to travelling in African countries and pointed out that there was a marked difference with her experience in Manzini.

The tourist alluded to that she did not see a single paper littered on the road, let alone people cleaning. According to her, this meant that the citizens of the country were disciplined. She also commended the neatness of the Manzini Bus Rank.

“When it comes to safety, my mind was blown away as I saw ladies wearing their weaves without fear of being mugged. You can walk around with your iPhone without fearing being mugged. I did not see any phara (thug),” she observed.

Meanwhile, she appreciated that there was electricity available 24 hours, without any loadshedding. Mbatha revealed that she asked around on what times electricity was expected to be interrupted but she was told that the only time was when there was a fault. She said she also learnt that cables were not stolen willy-nilly.

cleanliness

She reiterated the cleanliness and peace in the city, ending her video by stating that she wished she did not return to her home country.

The review was received with a lot of humour as most people attested to the tourist’s views. Some were comparing Johannesburg and Manzini public transport terminus, making mention that the former was the best. Others congratulated her for visiting the country. They also laughed at the issue of electricity. Other fellow South Africans commended the respect portrayed by emaSwati.
