Talented musician Paco to drop new album in April

Ton young and upcoming, I am pleased to present to you a young and upcoming musician, who is inspired by the will to do greater and achieve more in his career.

He is none other than Mfundo Dlamini, popularly known as Paco. This talented musician has announced that he will be dropping a full album on April.

We had a meet and greet with the musician and he shared about his journey. “I came about from actually being a fan of Tupac Shakur also known as 2Pac. This was a time when I was a hard-core rapper and composed only rap music. I started making music while I was still in primary school and my first studio session

was in 2016,” Paco said.

“Currently, I have about two singles titled ‘Question mark’ and ‘I Want You’. My first project was an Extended Playlist (EP) which was titled ‘Public Service Announceme­nt’ raked a number of accolades.

He went on to share the track list of his upcoming album while also citing some of the musicians he has worked with in the project.

“My upcoming album titled ‘City Boy’ is a project which has a track list of about 10 tracks namely, Welcome To The City Intro, Arabian Money, Ain’t Nuthin But An MBA Thang, Wena, Anthem, City Boy, Freaky, WOAH Freestyle, You Heard Money as well as City Boy Blues. This project is composed of beats from producers such as S.Mob, as well as Lexelboom with features from Trent Nicks and Yellow Bud,” Paco said.

“The project was recorded in a timeframe of about three years in Mbabane and Luyengo. The Album is set to be released on the April 22, 2023. The most prominent aspects or features of the album are the versatilit­y and how each song is different from the other.

“This project appeals to a variety of music lovers whether they want something loud, conscious or laid back, this album is a little bit of everything,” added Paco.

He went on to offer advice to other young people who may be interested in pursuing the same career. “Stay true to yourself and know that there is no rest for a creative, always be on your toes,” Paco said.

He concluded by noting some of the events where he has performed as well as discussed some of the acts he would want to collaborat­e with in the industry.

“Paco has performed at Calisvale, as part of the Epic Gig Freshmen. I have also performed at Solanis, Polar Park and the 2022 Epic Gig,” he shared.
