in the week I was minding my business on my way home, as usual I focus on my phone on social media. Then entered this guy with a lot of groceries and he sat next to me.

I looked in admiration as I love to see responsible fathers. I think what caught my eye in his almost see through plastic bags was the lettuce I spotted and other vegetables, as well as a pack of tissues in his groceries.

The ladies who sat next to us also commented on what I was admiring. We hardly see men buying groceries that actually have vegetables, so we were all admiring intfo lenhle.

It turned out they knew him as they were from the same neighbourhood, they had the makhelwane vibe.

The one lady said that she wanted to call him but remembered that he was now married, so she couldn’t call as often and late like she used to when he was still a single man, I suppose.

Something about her tone gave it away that she was not a huge fan of the wife for some reason, but anyway asendlule lapho.

The grocery guy responded and said actually she should still call him like before, as there was clearly nothing happening between them, they were just neighbours.

She then changed the topic to something else as quickly as possible as the temperature quickly dropped after his response. I was actually disappointed as a journalist, I mean here I was waiting to get more juicy stories, but knew after the guy’s response that he had actually shut it down.

So obviously, she had to change the subject, I then saw his phone as he checked the time and his ‘boss’s picture popped up, well not that I was surprised since he had his wedding band on.
