MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers gaffer Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe wants his team to win the next five MTN Premier League games.

The prodigal son revealed this in a post-match interview, after watching his side stealing all the maximum points in a dramatic game against the Lubombo-based side, Madlenya, at Mavuso Sports Centre.

Easy

“The game was not easy. We’re happy that we were able to win in what was the in the last minute of the game. I told my players not to focus on the previous game and today they showed that they still had the hunger to represent the club. I know it will prematurely to say but I believe in the players that we have in the team and our target is making sure that we win alteast five of the remaining six games in the league,” he said.

‘Crooks’ pleaded with the Manzini Wanderers supporters to support him so that the once-feared hub giants can rise again.

“We need to do everything we can to make sure that we avoid relegation at the end of the season and I believe that is possible to happen if all the supporters can continue supporting the players,” he added.

Open

Meanwhile, his counterpart in Madlenya FC’s William Kunene said the game was open. “We played the game very well and we deserved at least a point after a beautiful display by my players who did everything to win the game,” he said.

Manzini Wanderers next face Young Buffaloes, which will be ‘Crooks’ first big assignment while Madlenya FC will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Shiselweni-based side Nsingizini Hotspurs this weekend.
