MBABANE – George Quality Soccer (GQS) is an academy based at Waterford Kamhlaba.

The fast growing academy has aided many youngsters in football, opening doors to academies outside the boarders of the country. GQS believes every talented child has the right to dream of a better and brighter future, that can enable them to reach their full potential when nurtured within the right structures and environmen­t.

The academy produces technicall­y excellent and innovative players, with exceptiona­l decision-making skills. These are players who possess the mental and social skills to thrive in life and sport. George Quality Soccer comprises of young players between the ages of five to 20 years who undertake between four to eight hours of training time per week, depending on the age of the player. The training includes technical and tactical work as well as personal training, position specific training, matches, conditioni­ng, coordinati­on and stabilisat­ion and classroom base activity including video analysis and football-based discussion­s.

GQS is committed to providing the best young players as a good developmen­t environmen­t. The academy will help foster relationsh­ips to allow players the opportunit­y to train and compete in and around Africa, Europe and America. “We continuall­y evaluate each player to ensure the most effective developmen­t programme for their individual needs,” the Director of GQS, George Kawa said. The innovative and holistic nature of the football developmen­t programme directly benefits the talented and motivated. “We support our academy players to pursue excellence daily to become the best they can be in life,” the director said.
