Powertrade gives back to customers
MBABANE - It was that time of the year when the Powertrade Wholesalers gave back to their customers.
This was during a draw for the much coveted Suzuki S-Presso. The event took place at Powertrade Wholesalers on Saturday. The draw took place a little before 2pm. Prizes won on the day included an Omega home theatre system, which was the fourth prize. This was won by Uzzal Mohummed. The third prize was a bar refridgerator that was won by Sakhile Dlamini from MJ General Dealer, while the second prize went to Bayanda Mkhwanazi of Benguni General Dealer and this was a pool table.
Prize
First prize was the much coveted Suzuki S-Presso that was won by Philile Dlamini who appreciated the prize. “I came today with the hope of winning this car. I knew deep down that this was going to be mine. I kept saying to myself ... And to my surprise and appreciation... I won it. I first heard my store being called, then my postal address. I still couldn’t believe it. Then my cellphone number was mentioned and I knew my prayers had been answered! My name came last but by then, I had started celebrating. I have to thank my God for being so good to me, and my husband for being supportive in the business.” Philile added that she did not know how to express her gratitude to Powertrade for hosting the competition. “As shop owners, we truly appreciate this competition. It is always something to look forward to in the year. I will continue to get my groceries here and continue to support the wholesaler.
I also urge other retailers to support Powertrade and who knows, next year might be their turn,” she said.
Business
Philile said she would use the car to grow her business, as she had been relying on her husband’s assistance. “I will be able to get stock whenever necessary now that I have this car. I like the fact that it has high ground clearance so I will be able to drive easily to my shop which is located in the rural areas where the road is quite bad,” she added. Speaking on behalf of Powertrade was Malik Merchant who said as a company, they were pleased to have the competition running for the past eight years. He said the purpose of the competition was to show appreciation to their loyal customers and to make sure those customers benefitted over the years. “Loyal customers are what keep us going and this competition is our way of saying thank you,” he said.
