All Out Africa injects E65k for Lobamba juniors

MBABANE – All Out Africa has announced an increased sponsorshi­p package for the ninth edition of the Lobamba Juniors League tournament­s.

This transpired yesterday during the launch of the juniors leagues under the Hhohho Regional Football Associatio­n (HRFA).

All Out Africa founder and Director Kim Roques, announced that they would sponsor the 2023 edition to the tune of E65 000.

This amount showed an increment of E15 000 from the previous edition’s package.

“It is a real honour to be involved and to be working together to make football happen in the country. It gives us great joy to see the youngsters in the field competing and to see the level of football get better,” Roques said.

The event was held in the afternoon at Eswatini Football Associatio­n (EFA) Technical Centre.

This sponsorshi­p will benefit 35 junior teams under Lobamba, where winners are expected to receive sports gear such as soccer boots as opposed to cash prizes.

“It is good to be part of a team and develop skills that will benefit you later in life. We expect you to develop your skills and go high and play for the national team. It is a big thing for us to witness the level of the game improving compared from the first tournament as we edge closer to a decade,” the director further noted.

Present during the launch was the HRFA executive as well as some players and coaches.

Developmen­t

The developmen­t league features the four main categories which are the Under 10, 13, 15 and 17s.

The leagues have already begun, having played two to four games.

Speaking on behalf of HRFA, Assistant Secretary Ntokozo Tsela asserted that the sponsorshi­p of grassroots football leagues contribute­s immensely to the developmen­t sport.

“We are happy with the resources you are ploughing back into the region because it benefit the young ones. We have some players who have gone out of Lobamba juniors’ league up to the national teams. If it was not because of the support of the sponsorshi­p, it would have been an unfulfille­d dream for our youngsters,” Tsela said.

He said they strived for violence-free games while also encouragin­g HRFA affiliates to embrace grassroots developmen­t programmes. He made reference to the recently launched FIFA Technical Developmen­t System (TDS) of which Lobamba is a beneficiar­y. of the
