EZULWINI - Mbabane Highlanders may have to renegotiate with MTN Premier League champions Green Mamba for forward Musa Dlamini.

After being an important player for Inkunz’emnyama last season, helping them to a fourth spot finish, with at least over five goals and some assists, Musa is among the players whose contracts have lapsed.

He had been on loan for a season after Green Mamba deemed him surplus to requirement.

“Also out of contract besides Peter Dlamini is ‘Sikhokho’ but while we’ve had some renewals, these are yet to be considered,” an impeccable source said.

Both Musa and Ndumiso ‘Sikhokho’ Shongwe affirmed the situation.

Believe

“I am without a contract but I want to stay on at Highlanders.

“I believe I can still do more for the team and I also like the squad we have, which is a very good team,” Musa said.

However, the former MTN Premier League Golden Boot winner with

Mbabane Swallows, said his future with Highlanders depended on the Mbabane giants negotiating with his parent club once again for next season, as his heart was with the black and white kit.

‘Sikhokho’ said he was resting for now, but without any contract with talked to us since and what we agreed on they did not adhere to it. We are in constant touch with our lawyers and FIFA over the matter.

“What I reveal now is that we are currently negotiating with clubs from Spain, Italy or Montenegro,” Kamara said.

Expose

He said Swallows had obviously gone against everything that was on the contract he was ready to expose them.

Meanwhile, no immediate comment could not be drawn from Umkhonto KaShaka General Manager (GM) Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane as he was reportedly in South Africa.

Swallows has been invited to play in the Africa Day Celebration match against Amazulu at Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg today. The match will kick off at 1pm. the black and white ensemble.

The former Manzini Sea Birds and Denver Sundowns experienced midfielder was signed last season as well.

“Nothing has so far been communicated about a renewal,” he said.

However, the club’s Managing Director

(MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe said, as much as the pair’s contracts had run out, he was confident of retaining both.

“Musa is our player. We will talk to Green Mamba with the option to buy him out.

“He was one of our best up front; he just needs a sharp partner.

“We’ll also be renewing for ‘Sikhokho’ but obviously some players we must consider short term contracts we can review when the time comes,” he responded.

Hopeful

Kgomongwe said they were also hopeful of renewing for their star defender Peter, who assured them verbally he would not be leaving the club.

The latter is linked with Green Mamba and Mbabane Swallows.

To this, Kgomongwe said it was normal for players to have links but if it came to it, they would move on without the player but get a replacement.

Meanwhile, Highlanders have renewed contracts for experienced former Mbabane Swallows defender Mandla Palma and wing back Delisa Gama.
