HELLO my faithful Style readers and welcome to another wonderful Sunday. What a week this has been, but I hope Style will offer relaxing and enlightening pieces that everyone will enjoy. Before I speak about the MTN Bushfire festival, which I know everyone is eagerly looking forward to hearing about, here are a few highlights of the week at the Entertainment Desk. Did you hear about the arts programme that local artists have been invited to? So Eswatini is part of three African countries that have been invited for a visual arts residency in Leipzig, Germany. The Leipzig International Art Programme (LIA) is an international artist in residency programme located at the Spinnerei Leipzig

a former cotton mill and now cultural hub. LIA focuses on being a place for experiment and learning within a strong local artist community and a city rich of traditions. Local and international artists have an impact on each other while exchanging cultural experiences which are shifting the gaze. Please if you are interested or know someone who might be talented enough to be awarded the opportunity, let them know. So about the MTN Bushfire festival, today is the last day of the festival and one thing about it is that the experience is unmatched. Actually today’s cover and leading individual is an artist who was performing on this stage and this is non-other than Lution, born Mzwandile Nxumalo. He speaks about his music journey, what is in store for his fans and gives a bit of advice to local aspiring and upcoming artists.

Can we give the festival director and his whole team the appreciation they actually deserve for awarding so many local artists the opportunity to showcase their skills on such a prestigious event with such huge numbers.

Style Raids Your Closet is back for another instalment and because it was Bushfire weekend, things have been changed a little bit. We threw it back and raided the best MTN Bushfire festival looks that have been captured by this publication. There is also a feature about my go to fall beverages for the chilly weather. We also have an awesome range of book ideas compiled by Mlondzi Nkambule and this week he has fresh ones just for you and on the same page, we have a new writer Smanga Gamedze, who has prepared for you an interesting feature about do’s and don’ts at music festivals. The fun does not end there, while we were going about our days, minding our own businesses, The Plug was roaming the streets and snooping around for the hottest news on the block. I don’t want to spoil it for you so make sure you page through and pick what you want to indulge on.

I hope you enjoy reading this edition as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
