MBABANE – The Manzini Regional Football Association (MRFA) will host a grand closing at the Manzini Club, which will feature a Kwaluseni derby.

Sunday, June 25, will feature six teams in what will be an action-packed day. A least four of them are playing in the Manzini Super League, while the other two are from the OK Foods Kwaluseni Promotional League.

The derby between Kwaluseni Rebels and Real Professionals will kick off at 10:30am, as the opening fixture of the day. Real Professionals as well as Kwaluseni Rebels are in a cat and mouse race on the log standings, as they have both played 19 games with Real Professionals sitting in second position with 43 points. Meanwhile, Kwaluseni Rebels complete the top three in the OK Foods Kwaluseni Promotional League with 36 points.

They are seven points shy of second place and 14 behind log leaders Giant Clockwork with 50 points. Kwaluseni Rebels as well as Real Professionals were chosen to be part of the grand closing for the benefit of attracting numbers to the venue.

Meanwhile, the Manzini Super League have one game in hand before the conclusion of the league. The second fixture will kick off at 12:15pm for the Manzini Super League teams, where Mankayane United will face Bhudla Celtics. Mankayane United are five places above Bhudla Celtics on the log standings. Mankayane are currently perched in second place in week 36 of the league. Promoted log leaders Lozitha Spurs will face Stumbo’s XI at 2:15pm as the closing match. To be able to witness the grand closing, spectators are urged to bring an entrance fee of E10 to be paid at the gate.
