-

Nqobile Lukhele (Hhohho) Who is Nqobile Lukhele? Besides being a businesswoman, I am also a teacher at Maguga High School. I am from Mzaceni. I have been in the teaching service for the past 17 years now. I went to Maloma Primary, Ntfonjeni Primary, Nyonyana Primary before moving to

Maguga High School from

2012, where I was teaching Consumer Science which I learnt at Luyengo. I started my primary education at Bhalekane Primary, then went to Dvokolwako High for my secondary before going to St Michael’s for my high school. I then went to Luyengo, where at the time, there was a threeyear diploma in Consumer Science, before I went for my degree, which I completed in five years. I also went to Zimbabwe to do post-graduate diploma in education. Being from the rural areas, I was an extension worker for consumer science. I then ventured into business and started by baking cakes, fat cooks and decorations along with sowing clothes to get extra cash from the skills you have. I had passion for butchery business after doing my internship at Embiveni in Matsapha. That is where I developed the passion to run a butchery business. Fortunately, I was married to a farmer who loved to keep livestock. I also ventured into feedlot and then piggery, supplying butcheries around.

What is your mission if elected into Parliament?

As a teacher, we work with youngsters, and we put efforts to ensure that they pass. I have a history of a 100 percent pass rate and most of my pupils tend to develop a passion for my subject. Consumer science is a practical subject and most schools do not have it but my pupils are unemployed. My passion is on empowering the young children, so that they are able to afford basics things. I recently started a catering company and empower my pupils by having them handle some of the tenders like emalobolo so that they understand how business works. I have one of my former pupils who is now a director in her own pre-school and it is doing well.
