EMI, (better known as ‘Embiveni’ within Eswatini) is mainly recognised for its Simunye Beef branded products, they sell a very broad range of meat products in both Eswatini and Mozambique.

These go to a wide variety of customers, including a large number of entreprene­urs operating small businesses, that buy through the Embiveni Shop in Matsapha.

In terms of the beef products, the EMI boasts of carefully selected and sourced to ensure the highest quality and taste.

These include a wide range of beef cuts, including tender steaks, succulent roasts, and flavourful ground beef.

The EMI beef meat is known for its exceptiona­l tenderness, juiciness and rich flavour.

Furthermor­e, the EMI offers a variety of lamb cuts, including tender lamb chops, succulent leg of lamb, and flavourful ground lamb.

It should be noted that recently, the company raised the country’s flag high when it won in the Southern African Developmen­t Community (SADC) 2023 Quality Awards competitio­n.

The ceremony was aimed at awarding companies and individual­s in the region for applying and complying with internatio­nal standards in their day-to-day operations.

The SADC Quality Awards were approved in 2009 by the SADC Committee of Ministers of Trade, with the aim of encouragin­g entities in the region, both public and private, to apply and comply with internatio­nal standards in their operations.

The EMI took homed the Exporter of the Year (Large Enterprise­s) Award.

It was hailed as an entity that has main markets in even outside the country mainly in southern Mozambique where it supplies Simunye Beef, Simunye Pork and Embiveni Meats brands.

Outside of Africa, EMI exports beef into some countries within the European Free Trade Area (EFTA) and the European Union (EU).
