USED VEHICLES AND ITEMS OPEN AUCTION
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
BDRM Trading Plc representing the UNHCR invites all eligible bidders to participate on the open auction of used vehicles and items of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), World Food Program Organization (WFP), The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) to be held on April 29, 2023. Bidders who wish to inspect the condition of the vehicles and items may be able to register and view starting from Thursday 20 of April to Friday 28 of April 2023 at he warehouse Kotebe 02 Kebede near to Goal Ethiopia. A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 500.00 (five Hundred Birr) interested bidders must made a deposit of ETB 400,000.00 (four Hundred Thousand Birr) for each vehicles lot and 100,000.00 (one hundred thousand Birr) for each items lot by CPO payable to BDRM Trading PLC to participate on the auction. Winners must pay the full amount of the vehicle or lot they win within the next five working days from the date they are notified as a winner. to
“BDRM TRADING PLC” bank account with “DASHEN BANK” European Union branch at the following account 5254001764064. Note: Only payments received at this bank account shall be considered valid. Partial payments are not accepted. Bidders who fail to meet the deadline will lose their bid bond. The seller reserves the right to take other options. The awarded bidder (hereinafter referred to as the Buyer) must pay 100% of the bid price at the Seller’s bank account indicated above within five working days after the auction i.e. by Friday 5th of May 2023.
It is the buyer's decision to bid knowingly the condition of the vehicles and their condition. SELLER MAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY OR WARRANTY AS TO THE CONDITION OF THE VEHICLES & ALL ITEMS. The registered bidder hereby understands and agrees that no warranties or representations have been given or made as to the state, condition or fitness of the vehicle & items which he takes with all fault and agrees to accept all risks of whatsoever nature. All vehicles are sold in their condition “AS-IS-WHERE-IS” basis and in a non-refundable manner. All expenses and cost in respect of taxes, duties and ownership transfer shall be borne by the Buyer. Note: all motor vehicles and other items were originally exempted from duties/taxes hence it is the Buyer’s obligation to pay all taxes and dues within fifteen (15) days after the auction after receiving the Reference number from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
The costs of storage for the items will be borne by the Seller until the issuance of Reference number. After that period the Buyer will be paying all storage and security costs towards the Seller birr 500 for each additional day that the items have not been picked up.
The seller reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. All items offered for sale at this auction are subject to a “RESERVED PRICE” set by UNHCR. The Seller is not obliged to award the sale of an item if this reserved price is not met. There will be no award to the second highest bidder. The Seller reserves the right to reject any bid that is considered not to be commensurate with the value of the property or, reject any bid where there is indication or evidence of collusion among bidders.
All delivery or pick-up arrangements must be made by the Buyer.
