PRAISE TO PM, SAYS EX-EDITOR OF SHANTI DUT
Ashok Dwivedi visiting from Canada tells of great work.
All Fijians should be thankful and appreciate the good work done by our Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says a former editor of the country’s Hindi newspaper ShantiDut. Ashok Dwivedi, on a visit from Canadsa, said: “I am here just to compliment on the great work done by our Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.” Mr Dwivedi said people should realise how valuable our Prime Minister had been and the amount of remarkable work he had done so far
“This signifies a good change for a better future and if people are still in doubt then Fiji will be in a critical condition in the future,” he said. “During my time at the Shanti Dut, I have come across paramount chiefs who were former leaders of our country and how we pay our respects and the distance that we have to take before approaching them was one of the main concern back then but now it has all changed.” Mr Dwivedi, who is also a former secondary school teacher, said despite coups, this country did not lose its hospitality, empathy, religion and its main rule which was to love their neighbours. He is in the country for a few days before heading to New Zealand for family commitments. Mr Dwivedi, who is originally from Uttar Pradesh – the northern part of India, is married to Urmila Dwivedi from Tavua. He now resides with his wife and four children in Vancouver, Canada.
As a former resident of Fiji, I never use to see how lucky we were until leaving our shores and residing in Canada that I finally realised that our country is much greater and blessed than any other country on the face of the earth.
