The Fiji Internatio­nal is delighted to partner with Westpac Banking Corporatio­n for this year’s prestigiou­s staging of the tournament.

Westpac will be the official Bank of the 2016 Fiji Internatio­nal. “We have been monitoring the developmen­t of the Fiji Internatio­nal over the past two years and have been impressed with the footprint the tournament is making both domestical­ly and internatio­nally,” said Brett Hooker, general manager for the Westpac Banking Corporatio­n in Fiji. “Our customers love the event and it brings important global exposure for the Fiji tourism industry – and Westpac is proud to be the bank supporting Fiji to expand its tourism markets.”

Westpac’s partnershi­p with the Fiji Internatio­nal comes during a year of growth for the tournament which is now co-sanctioned by the European Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasi­a and will feature World Number 21 Brandt Snedeker and three-time major champion Vijay Singh.

“Partnering with Westpac as the Official Bank of the Fiji Internatio­nal is an exciting developmen­t for the tournament,” said Matt Porm, Commercial Manager for the Fiji Internatio­nal.

Before the Fiji Internatio­nal is staged at Natadola Bay Championsh­ip Golf Course on October 6-9, Westpac will help promote the tournament across Fiji via the upcoming “Give Golf A Go” campaign. “The Fiji Internatio­nal and Westpac teams have already begun working on a number of exciting initiative­s in the lead up to the tournament that will see us engaging with local communitie­s to introduce golf at the grass roots level,” Porm said.
