DISNEY ANNOUNCES LIVE ACTION FILM REMAKE

The Lion King is to be remade as a live action film directed by Jon Favreau, Disney has announced. The announcement comes 22 years after the release of the original animation, while a highly successful stage musical has been running since 1997. Mr Favreau was behind this year’s new version of The Jungle Book, featuring a mix of animation and live action. He has tweeted that he is “excited” for his “next project”, using emojis of a lion and a crown.
