Eliminatio­n Rounds for TV Show Sur Sangharsh Season Four start Saturday

Sur Sangharsh, Fiji’s big Bollywood music singing show will host its first eliminatio­n rounds for the fourth season this Saturday at Vodafone Arena, Suva. This was confirmed by Nilesh Kumar, the producer/director of Sur Sangarsh – Hunt for the Singing Sensation.

He said: “The preparatio­n has been very good and the contestant­s have really fine tuned their singing abilities from the past three weeks of rehearsals. “Preparatio­ns have been very good for the contestant­s and they are excited to showcase their singing talents come this Saturday.” Mr Kumar also said that there were fifteen contestant­s for the new season.

“In the past there were only 12, but seeing greater interest we have decided to accommodat­e 15 this year,” Mr Kumar said.

He said the committee was expecting a good turnover at the show.

“We are expecting over 1000 people for this event,” he said.

“I would like to urge people to come and support this event and the young contestant­s.

“(We’re) also calling for more support from the business community in terms of sponsorshi­p as we are now trying to create avenues where these talents can be presented on the internatio­nal arena.”

The first round of the show will have two guest artists namely - Din Mani who is Fiji’s Legendary singer and Shraddha Dass (local renowned classical singer and music teacher). The first show of the season will start at 6pm and end at 10:30 pm at Vodafone Arena in Suva.
