Miss APCO contestant Shivani Lal has one message which is in line with the 2017 Vodafone Hibiscus Festival’s: Climate Change – Telling your own narrative.
“I believe that by foregoing fossil fuels, planting trees, and consuming less we can make a difference to help reduce the rapid outcomes of climate change,” Ms Lal said.
Has it ever crossed your mind growing up and watching the festival that one day you’ll be a part of? Shivani:
Yes, I have always desired to be part of this Hibiscus Festival since I was a child. Watching the queens on their floats, waving to us has indeed been one of my dreams. I ultimately stepped towards it.
