Heads of Pacific Island states and dignitaries were treated to a slice of Fiji entertainment on Tuesday night.

Oceania Dance Theatre dancers and Pasifika Voices singers from the University of the South Pacific performed at a reception hosted by the Nauruan Ambassador Marlene Moses.

Ms Moses hosted those that attended the United Nations Ocean Conference at the United Nations Headquarters.

The lively four member entertaining team even had the President of Nauru Baron Waqa join in, in one of the Nauruan numbers that they performed.

The 30-minute performance was well received by the leaders and many of them joined in with the dance as well. An ecstatic Ratulevu Tora, ODT dancer was overwhelmed with the reaction of the crowd. Back home, their performance was watched live, made possible by Fiji Sun’s live streaming of the event.

The team performed last night at the University of Bergen where a major announcement between the university and the University of the South Pacific was to be made.

That performance was live streamed on the Fiji Sun Online Facebook page.

Video of their performance is available on the Fiji Sun Online Facebook page.
