Top speakers lined up for CPA

- SELITA BOLANAVANUA SUVA

Building business agility and resilience among corporate leaders is the aim of this year’s Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia-Fiji Branch Congress.

Organisers say the congress provides a critical first step to forge a path forward and address today’s issues and provide tangible skills, insights and practical ideas.

Head of International Business CPA Australia David Jenkins had said in an earlier interview that they were ready to help support and develop Fiji’s curriculum, especially in accounting.

“This is because CPA is internationally-recognised and is one of the best brands in the world. And for Fiji, identifying areas in the curriculum where we are lacking and working towards bridging that gap. The CPA Fiji congress will be held on September 14 -15 at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort on Yanuca Island.

The two-day event will be officiated by Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

It is expected to host close to 600 representatives, with both international and local speakers.

Registrations close on August 11, 2017.
