Roadshow Teaches Participants To Embrace Digital Future
Datec Fiji Limited (Datec), in partnership with Oracle, brought the Oracle Cloud Road Show: Embracing a Digital Future to Fiji at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva.
Oracle offers an integrated array of applications, databases, servers, storage, and cloud technologies to empower modern business. With today’s digital economy fueling increased demands on IT infrastructure, Datec and Oracle began the event asking the key question of: ‘Why Cloud, Why Now’ to the participants of the event.
Setting the tone of the conference, Jing Tian, the Oracle Digital Prime senior sales manager, emphasised the benefits of its use for businesses. Also on integrating Oracle cloud to innovate their business and operational processes for improved efficiency.
Graeme Gleave, the vice president for Oracle Digital Prime Technology, continued the discussion of the necessity for businesses transitioning to cloud in his presentation.
“It is not just about providing the platform, but we need to provide a path as there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to cloud,” Mr Gleave said.
“It’s about journeying together with our customers, customising and personalising to their needs and supporting them with a journey of multiple types of cloud solutions for businesses of all sizes.” Oracle carried on the momentum by highlighting the sophisticated, high-availability (HA) product capabilities that would help the businesses to reduce the downtime and eliminate the risk of having to make a compromise in performance, availability, and cost.
Datec, a fully-owned subsidiary of Vodafone Fiji, has been investing in the training of its people to provide the best of breed ICT solutions for all business types.
“We are now focused more on offering cloud solutions to address the business needs, problems and main points that are generally associated with business growth, agility, innovation, costs, and efficiency,” said Ateen Kumar, the general manager of Datec Fiji.
