Courts and its subsidiary Sports World organised a one-day ‘York Fitness’ training for its staff members on Tuesday.

York Fitness is one of the leading fitness brands.

The training aimed to keep staff members updated with the development and upgrading of products.

Training facilitator and Bernsport commercial sales representative Heath Storer said the training would help reduce products issues with the customers.

“It is a necessity to be trained so that the staff members are content with the knowledge and to provide better service to customers.

“I am happy to be here and happy to help out as well.”

Mr Storer added that after the training, staff members would be well versed with the use and fixing of fitness equipment in store. Sports World general manager, Vinod Kumar said: “The whole purpose of the training was to get the sales people, warehouse and the service staff members to get the clear understanding of what is required from them to keep the customers happy.

“The training is one step up in trying to improve our superior customer service.

“The customers spend so much money on buying our products and we are making sure to provide a fair return to their purchase,” he said.

“After this training our staff members will understand how, what and whom to sell to.”

There were 20 participants at the training in Courts Service Centre, Laucala Beach Estate.
