Labasa Council Space for Festival Office
The Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North secretariat is working together with the Labasa Town Council to acquire an office space at Labasa Civic Centre. This was confirmed by the president of the committee Subhash Chandra on Wednesday. “Since the humble beginning of the festival in 1962 the committee has been conducting meetings at various locations,” Mr Chandra said.
“This year we saw the need to have an office space to operate from; thanks to the Special Administrator of Labasa and Savusavu Town Council Vijay Chand who understood this need and has agreed to assist us,” he said.

“Once the secretariat is operational, we will continue with our community projects.”
