Mai TV, TBN unveil new programme line-up
Mai TV is delighted to announce its partnership with the largest Christian television network in the world, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), to deliver a line-up of wholesome programmes to Fijians in the comfort of their own homes.
The partnership will see an injection of programmes that reinforce wholesome, positive, family values that are particularly important and applicable.
The new line-up includes SMILE TV which features classic children’s programmes filled with timeless positive values especially for children between the ages of 2-12. The programmes not only educate and entertain, but instructs through music, action sports, seasonal specials, and kidfriendly movies.
For the teen and youth audience between the ages of 13 and 24 years, Mai TV will show JUICE TV which offers programmes that are not only entertaining but also build moral and community values among young people.
The programmes push these through Gospel music videos, relevant issue driven talk shows that equip viewers with solutions to everyday challenges, action sports programming that highlight athletes making a difference in their communities, plus live events, concerts and more.
Mai TV will also feature world-renowned preachers.
John Gray, Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, to name a few. Viewers are also set to experience a visually exciting journey through the land of the Bible, revealing the history and culture behind the stories of Scripture via the TV series Drive Through History with host and Editor Dave Stotts.
The programme which will be shown on Monday evening takes viewers through the ancient world of the Bible, delivering a fast-paced encounter with the people, places, and events that shaped the Christian faith. The programme will premier with Drive
Through History – Holy Land which takes the audience between the pages of the Old Testament.
Mai TV will also feature family-oriented movies on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings.
An exciting addition to Mai TV’s new line-up is the Huckabee Show hosted by two-time Republican US presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
The programme offers news commentary and feature political, musical and religious guests.
It looks at current events from a practical and Biblical world view and was established as a part of TBN’s effort to expand its viewing audience beyond those who typically watch Christian television or turn to it in a crisis. These new line-up builds on existing programmes that Mai TV will continue to show including the popular Bollywood movies that will feature on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as the acclaimed German Football League, Bundesliga, that Mai TV will continue to show exclusively on weekends with replays over weekdays.
Mai TV’s pioneering God First programme featuring sermons by local Churches and local Pastors will continue at 1 pm daily but will be boosted also to the prime time 7pm slot.
TVNZ will be replayed the next morning at 7 am.
Mai TV will start showing these new programmes from today, Monday, 6 November.

As Fiji continues its migration from analogue to digital (Walesi) which places Mai TV on a level playing field alongside the other two TV broadcasters, Mai TV envisions greater shows and programmes that viewers can look forward to.
Walesi is currently available on trial in the Nausori to Lami corridor as well as Nadi. Walesi boxes are available for purchase from the Mai TV office.
