Nayacalevu On Fire

- Paris: Results Feedback: leonec@fijisun.com.fj

Former Fiji Airways Flying Fijians centre Waisea Nayacalevu continues to impress for Stade Francais as they walloped Bordeaux-Begles (UBB) 22-12 on Saturday. Tries from Nayacalevu, Djibril Camara and Jonathan Danty proved too much for Bordeaux-Begles who scored through four Matthieu Jalibert penalties.

UBB later sent in Fijian duo Ben Volavola and prop Peni Ravai but were not able to rescue them.

Plisson began the scoring with an 11thminute penalty but Jalibert restored parity two minutes later from the tee. Danty's superb individual try separated the sides at 10-3 after 35 minutes. But the away side were unable to cross the whitewash while the home side had no such problem scoring twice more through Camara after 61 minutes and Nayacalevu after 77 minutes.

FIJIANS HELP LIFT BRIVE

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians tough blindside flanker Dominiko Waqaniburotu spearheaded Brive's move along with centre Sevanaia Galala as they scored an upset 29-10 win over Montpellier.

Burly Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo did not play while Timoci Nagusa was on the wing for Montpellier.

Brive had the better of the first half, despite falling behind. It only took a handful of minutes before Francois Steyn kicked the visitors into a three-point lead from a penalty but he missed a second kick before Brive took the lead with the first and only try of the opening 40.

Top 14: La Rochelle 47-6 Agen, Stade Francais 22-12 Bordeaux-Bègles, Brive 29-10 Montpellier, Oyonnax 12-16 Racing 92, Toulouse 18-13 Toulon. - Planet Rugby
