Now high on the agenda for Ms Voss: The cabin design and fitouts of the five brand new Fiji Airways Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets. These this year will begin replacing the existing Boeing 737-800 and 700 series narrow body fleet. And lifting customer service further.

Shaenaz Voss is the Fiji Airways Executive General Manager, Fiji Link and Group Corporate, International and Government Affairs. A long title. But fitting.

For this constantly working executive is not only the most influential Fijian in our national airline, she is also highly experienced and effective. Her background was originally in domestic airlines but she has now well and truly taken off internationally.

So much so that Managing director/CEO Andre Viljoen has entrusted her with overseeing some of his key projects going forward.

Most recent notable achievement: The successful launch of the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge at Nadi International Airport. This is not just another airline lounge. This is of a level never before seen in the Pacific Islands and right up there with the best in Australia and New Zealand. All part of the growth of Fiji Airways from best airline in the Pacific islands to one of the best “little” airlines in the world.

Same time wearing her Fiji Link hat, Ms Voss has overseen the introduction of the first of three modern Viking DHC6-400 Twin Otters which will replace DHC-6-300 series planes operating into island airstrips.
