February Parliament sitting postponed to March
Standing Committees have started deliberations.
The 2018 February Parliament sitting has been postponed to March 2018, thereby having two weeks of sitting. The Parliament sittings for February and March will be held concurrently, under the new dates from Monday, March 5 to Friday March 16, 2018.
This is because of the the 20th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers Meeting (‘CCEM’), which will be held from February 19 to 23, 2018 in Nadi.
Ministers and their respective ministries will be engaged during this highlevel meeting, therefore, the Speaker of Parliament has ruled that the 2018 February sitting be postponed to March 2018, for two weeks.
