ANZ FIJI EXCELLENCE IN TOURISM AWARDS ANNOUNCES VENUE FOR 2017 AWARDS GALA DINNER

Denarau Convention Centre on Saturday, February 17. In making the announceme­nt, Chair of the Organising Committee, Olivia Mavoa said: “We look forward to working with Sheraton Fiji Resort to host another successful ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards. We are expecting to attract more people to attend this year’s event and Sheraton Fiji Resort was the best fit for hosting our awards night. “FETA has revamped its website and we are currently developing an online ticketing system to make the ticketing process easier to access. Bookings for the Awards dinner can be made and paid online and this is expected to be released next week.”

“We want people to mark the date and with the venue confirmed they can start planning on buying their tickets for the biggest awards night in the country.”

Ms Mavoa added: “Judging is continuing with our panel of expert judges, headed by the CEO of Flour Mills of Fiji, Mr Ram Bajeklal and they include renowned industry profession­als locally and internatio­nally.” The Organising Committee Chair also thanked ANZ, sponsors and members of the Tourism Industry for their support and contributi­on towards the organising of the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

Ms Mavoa said: “This is a team effort by all concerned and the Awards whilst recognisin­g the excellent contributi­on of the Tourism Industry, also brings together all members of the industry to celebrate their excellent achievemen­ts for the 2017 season.” Members of the Organising Committee are made up of Trustees Ms Mavoa and Craig Powell and also includes Nathan Wilson from ANZ, AFL’s Christophe­r Chand and Emele Tuilagivou.
