Commencement of Construction of SUN Centre Legalega, Nadi

-

Construction work at the $15m SUN Insurance SUN Centre in Legalega, Nadi, has commenced.

Due to its local ownership SUN is mandated by the Reserve Bank of Fiji to maintain all its investment in Fiji.

This sees Fiji’s only locally owned insurer embark on such long term investments.

The project will employ over 200 people over its construction period of 18 months.

The Larsen Holtom Maybin (LHM) designed five-level exclusive office complex will be built just 800 metres away from the Nadi International Airport. The project’s Super-Structure will be built by the family owned Kanta Builders Ltd (KBL). True to SUN’s philosophy of promoting local businesses to reach new heights, the project will be KBL’s first multi-level project. Managing director of KBL Pardeep Singh said that they were thrilled to be part of this project and are looking forward to being part of a quality team gathered by SUN to deliver the SUN Centre. In describing the SUN Centre, Project Architect Mark Swamy of LHM mentioned that the five-level building will certainly be one of the more sought after office accommodation in Nadi incorporating cutting edge technology with special emphasis on energy efficiencies, occupant’s safety, quality materials and workmanship. “A large group of specialised and reputable consultants were engaged to ensure that every design element was adequately addressed,” he said

It is expected that the same design philosophy will be adopted by SUN Centre tenants to ensure that this complex will be the premier office choice in Nadi.
