Luke, Keleti picked to lead Suva Grammar
Suva Grammar School’s newly inducted headboy, Luke Seruwaqa, and headgirl Keleti Tikotani, were delighted with their appointments. They were among the 156 inductees badged yesterday during the school’s prefect induction ceremony at the school in Suva.
Luke, 18, of Soso Village, Kadavu, praised God for giving him the opportunity to lead one of Suva’s prominent secondary schools.
“I will do whatever
I can to make the school proud of me,”
Luke said.
He also revealed:
“My mother is an ex-scholar of the school, she started in year 1989 till 1992 in Suva Grammar
School.”
For Keleti, 18, of
Ketei, Totoya in Lau, the role came as no surprise. She was badged a prefect last year and has done better this year.
“I am the first in the family to be badged as the headgirl of the school,” Keleti said proudly. She said her parents became emotional when they heard of her being badged as headgirl.
