NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT FOR THE FHTA 2018 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On Tuesday, the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) President, Dixon Seeto, appointed the Nominations Committee as per Article 7.2 of the FHTA “Memorandum and Articles of Association” which reads;

“7.2NOMINATING COMMITTEE:

Not less than sixty (60) days prior to the Annual General Meeting, the President shall appoint a committee of three (3) Active Members of the Association to act as a Nominating Committee, which shall meet and nominate candidates for all elected officers on the Board of Directors for the ensuing year. The Nominating Committee shall nominate such members as it thinks best fitted and who are willing to serve the Association, and its recommendation shall then be ratified by the Board and such ratified decision shall be circulated to the members no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.”

The three person committee is as follows: Chair: Tammie Tam of Warwick International Hotels, William Whiting of Treasure Island Resort Mr Patrick Wong of Mana Island Resort & Spa Active Members (hotel or accommodation providers, dive operators and/or marine operators) who are interested in serving on the FHTA Board of Directors are invited to submit their names to the Nominations Committee by Friday, April 20, 2018.
