Villagers take advantage of services at doorstep
Rural Fijians of Moala island took advantage of various government services on offer from ministries and departments. The Moala roadshow opened by the Permanent Secretary for Rural and Maritime Development, Disaster Management, and Meteorological Services, Meleti Banimarama is part of Government’s priority to take services offered by government and its partners closer to remote rural and maritime communities.
Speaking to members of the community at the Naroi Village grounds, Mr Bainimarama reiterated Government’s commitment in addressing challenges faced by rural Fijians.
“The objective of the three-day government roadshow is to bring services closer to you and to allow you to make use of the advice and information offered by both Government officials and our development partners,” Mr Bainimarama said.
