Ron­ish Chand aims to be­come the first Indo Fi­jian to rep­re­sent Ba Pro­vin­cial Free Bird In­sti­tute in the Fiji Sec­ondary Schools Rugby Union Deans Tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion.

“I just want to do my best. I know there is a lot of work for me to do in terms of my train­ing and sharp­en­ing up my skills,” Chand said.

“My im­me­di­ate aim is to play in the Deans Tro­phy com­pe­ti­tion and work my way up until I reach the top. Like ma­jor­ity Fi­jian boys , I want to rep­re­sent Fiji some day in 7s rugby.” His team­mate and Ja­panese na­tive Yuto Nishimura is also vy­ing for a spot in their school’s team.
