Fiji Airways Fijian 7s backs Samisoni Viriviri and Eroni Sau joined the team in London yesterday.

The duo departed on Thursday after sorting out their visas in Vanuatu.

The Gareth Baber- coached side is one of the first teams to arrive in the United Kingdom for the second last tournament of the 2017/18 World Sevens Series in London next weekend. Despite leading the tournament on 145 points, the Seremaia Tuwai-captained side need to win in Twickenham going into last tournament on Paris on June 9-10.

After missing out on the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast in April, Fiji can’t afford to end second best again before the Rugby Sevens World Cup in July in San Francisco.

Viriviri, 30, is looking forward to playing in Twickenham and Paris.

“I promise to play my best in the last two tournaments. We are in good position to win it for our fans and Fiji,” he said.

“I am asking fans to pray for us.”

Sau wants to prove himself and to be considered for the Rugby Sevens World Cup.

“This is a good time to play in the final leg and we need to win it for Fiji,” he said. “We have a good team and we are banking on fans support to help us get the job done. “I want to be in the team for the RSWC in July.” 3 Fijians in NZ team

The team will be co-captained by Sione Molia and Kurt Baker.
