RFMF with Australian counterpart on joint demonstration exercise
A joint demonstration exercise between the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) and the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) has been described as an opportunity for Fiji to mordernise its capabilities. Yesterday troops from the Naval division and members of the third battalion conducted an amphibious exercise that demonstrates how to operate in any scenario including disaster relief operations. RFMF Chief of Staff Brigadier-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai said the RFMF-ADF co-operation allowed the RFMF land troops to fully incorporate with the naval division. The HMAS Adelaide and Melbourne spent three days in Suva, working with RFMF on a range of activities.
