CHINESE ENVOY: REPORT ON SPY SHIP IS ‘NONSENSE’

China has responded to speculative reports by the Australian media on a Chinese vessel said to have anchored beside Australia’s biggest warship HMAS Adelaide at the Post of Suva.

The Chinese vessel was a space surveillance ship that comes to Fiji regularly or twice every year mainly for the replenishments of the ship. Australia’s High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes said the exercise has got nothing to do with China; it was a bilateral exercise between the ADF and the RFMF.
