POLICE OFFICER IN HOSPITAL AFTER ACCIDENT

A taxi driver was being investigated for dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm on a Police officer while he was riding a Police motorcycle.

The Police officer was yesterday admitted at the CWM Hospital following the incident along at the junction of Kimberley Street and Gordon Street in Suva at around 7.30am.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this adding that investigations were underway.

“The taxi driver was taken to Totogo Police Station for questioning and is currently being investigated for dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm,” she said.
