INTERNAL AUDITORS RETREAT TODAY

Institute of Internal Auditors Fiji will have pre – conference event today at the Southern Cross Hotel, Suva.

The theme for the learning retreat is getting more out of internal auditros -Transforming IA to add value and meet business expectations.

The purpose of the event is to increase chief executive officers, Chief Audit Executive(CAE) understanding and support for each other.

Target Audience are ceos, Senior Management, Certified Association Executive’s, Senior Audit Managers The facilitator Gurbakshish Singh from Malaysia ia an experienced internal auditor with 43 years’ work experience which includes 25 years in Governance, Risk and Internal audit.

Potential Outcomes:

By the end of the mini Learning Retreat are;

1) A richer understanding and appreciation of the Roles and Responsibilities of the CEO’s and Internal Auditors.

2) Appreciation of the leadership challenges faced by CEO’s and CAE’s that has an impact on their people, business and organisations; 3) Addressed some common questions and challenges related to Internal audit function

4) Offered support to one another. Coached one another using LIM’s Peer Learning Process on current challenges they are currently facing in their current roles;

5) Experienced several practical concepts and tools that can be potentially applied in own teams immediately to address the questions stated above and other challenges;

6) Had a very enjoyable and profitable time and made new acquaintances and associations. Formed a valuable network of CEO’s and CAE’s.

Institute of Internal Auditors Conference 2018 is hosted at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, from June 15 to 16.
